About Us
 PGI
has its beginnings in 1945, beginning with a few machines and a
couple of dedicated employees. It was incorporated in 1947 by Henry
Homer as Profile Centerless Grinding, Inc. The company is still
family owned, with the fourth generation preparing for their turn at
the helm.
The company provided centerless grinding services to industry in the
Cleveland Ohio area. As time passed the company grew and expanded
the services it provided. In 1954 its name was changed to Profile
Grinding Inc. to better describe the services offered. In 1996 the
company purchased its first Citizen swiss machine and began to
provide manufacture complete services. Through acquisition in 2002,
CNC milling and turning capabilities were added.
Today PGI provides customers with both make complete manufacturing
and machining service work. Production quantities from 1 piece
prototypes to thousand of parts are supplied to a broad customer
base in many different industries located throughout the US.
