With a long history in centerless grinding, it was natural that CNC grinding would be included as one of our capabilities as this technology developed. Except for our centerless grinding machines, CNC grinding is the only grinding we do.
We specialize in grinding inside and outside diameters of cylindrical parts. Tolerances as tight as .0002 inch total tolerance can be held depending on part geometry and size. Between centers grinding, standard I.D. and O.D. chucking, and special fixtures are utilized to produce parts. We can often grind I.D.s and O.D.s in the same fixturing. Depending on part geometry, we can grind multiple O.D features and faces simultaneously. Features such as grooves, tapers and many different forms can be ground utilizing the CNC wheel forming capabilities of our equipment. We also supply limited surface grinding, and honing services in support of our
"make complete" mentality.
Bushing, sleeves, bearings, shafts, nozzles, and needles are just a few of the part descriptions we have successfully produced. Our employees have performed grinding operations on a variety of materials including many different types of steels and stainless steels, exotics, aluminum, brass, bronze, and plastic.
Utilizing CNC technology, we can often combine multiple grinding operations in the same fixturing. Grinding multiple features in one operation reduces cost and improves part quality.
