Profile Grinding was contacted by a large industrial packaging equipment manufacturer regarding an industrial volume control needle manufactured of 17-4 stainless steel having tight tolerances for size, straightness, roundness, and surface finish. Profile has been serving this customer for nearly 50 years for a wide variety of other precision machined components and assemblies, and upon success with this prototype-which we assisted in designing for manufacture, were contracted to supply this part alone at 30,000 units per year.
